What this work asks
Jarrett develops the Church’s teaching on the indwelling of the Holy Spirit into a sequence of short meditations. He joins scholastic distinctions to pastoral purpose: the doctrine should deepen prayer, reverence for persons, moral responsibility, and confidence in God’s nearness.
